Hey everyone! I’m a day late posting this, oops.
This feature is hosted in the Top Five Wednesday group on Goodreads.
The topic this week is….
Beware the Ides of March! What books (or characters) did you feel betrayed by, for whatever reason…big or small.
Mare drove me absolutely crazy in this book. So much that I haven’t even finished it yet. I will, if not just because I already bought King’s Cage, but I really do enjoy the world Aveyard created. I’m hoping for a less repugnant Mare in King’s Cage. I have heard it gets better though, so there’s hope!
Excuse me? Where did this arrogant asshole come from out of Chaol? I felt like SJM was changing his character just so Rowan and Aelin would fit together better. I really hate how she ruined his character in this book though.
I thought this was one of the most over-hyped books I’ve ever read; I wanted to scream at the heroine throughout pretty much the whole book. My biggest problem with the book was that I didn’t actually like any of the characters in it, not even a supporting character. It was hard to connect with the story because of that.
I’m not complaining about how it turned out, but I felt a little betrayed at how Tamlin did a 180 in this book. Again, I shipthe couple in this book SO HARD, but where did Tamlin the Tool come from?!
No betrayal list is complete without Allegiant. This book made me so mad I didn’t read for over a month afterwards. I can dig a sad ending, but this was garbage. I felt like it was added more for shock value than anything else.
An actual picture of me after finishing Allegiant:
